Orders can be turned around very quickly if we have the materials in stock. If you need something urgently please contact us prior to ordering. We try to send orders to customers as quickly as possible however at our extremely busy times please allow a minimum of 5 working days between receipt of order/approval of colours chosen and dispatch of the hat or fascinator.
Hat and fascinator delivery charges are as follows:
- UK Standard delivery : £7.99
- UK Express delivery : £9.99
- Overseas : £20.00
Please note: Standard delivery is to UK Mainland only. If you are a resident of Ireland or the Channel Islands, Isle of Man or any of the Scottish Islands then Express delivery charges apply.
Accessory delivery costs £2.99. If combined with a hat purchase then delivery costs are as per hat and fascinator delivery charges shown above.
Order packaging for delivery
Your order will be packaged in one of our specially designed and very strong boxes. Not only do they keep the hat safe during delivery but are great for storing your hat at home. Depending on the hat or fascinator we use a combination of tissue paper and air packaging to protect the hat within the box. The external packaging is marked as ‘Fragile’ of which we hope the courier takes note! Fortunately damage during the delivery process is a very rare occurrence, if however you discover damage to the hat upon opening the box please contact us ASAP at email@example.com
PayPal is our ‘payment gateway’ that manages our payment processing. when you see the first PayPal page you simply choose the option to pay by debit or credit card instead of using a PayPal account.
You can pay by cheque and this is an option when you check out. Please make cheques payable to ‘Hostie Hats’ and the postal address is:

I hope you understand that I am unable to begin work on your hat/fascinator until I have received your cheque through the post.
Our Production Methods
In order to enable us to deliver hats that are perfectly colour matched free of charge to your outfit our production methods involve the dying of our materials. On occasion the dying process can alter the texture or appearance of the predominantly natural materials that we use; for example, feathers may become stiffer, using darker colours may make sinamay, straw or crinoline less translucent or silk flowers which have variegated colours will appear to be a more solid block of colour.
Our Hat Approval Process
We ensure that you receive as many opportunities as possible to approve your hat prior to us sending it to you to ensure that you are completely satisfied. We text/email/whatsapp/Facebook messenger photos of your hat to you so you can see the completed hat prior to dispatch. If you have any queries or concerns about your hat please raise it with us as soon as possible in the approval process. Nothing is too much trouble, we are happy to take the photos in a different light, send different angles etc to allow you to be 100% certain prior to dispatch.
We won’t send your hat or fascinator to you without your prior approval. However, if we don’t hear back from you and the ‘required date’ you supplied to us in the order process if fast approaching we reserve the right to send your hat without your approval.
Refunds and Exchanges
I’m afraid we are unable to offer refunds as each of the hats we make is made to order. However if you are not completely satisfied with your order please call 077974 379 654 to discuss and we will see what we can do to rectify the problem. We find that this is very rare as every effort is made to ensure that you are happy with your hat prior to receipt.
We are sorry if any customer feels the need to make a complaint but promise to deal with all complaints swiftly and professionally. If we have done something wrong then please let us know as soon as possible in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to put things right.
Yes, we promise to keep your personal details safe and will not pass them onto third parties or send you any spam. Ever.

Hostie Hats Gift Cards can be exchanged for products and services, online at www.hostiehats.co.uk.
Gift Cards may not be used in department stores or any other 3rd party locations.
The balance on the Gift Card may be used for full or part payment of the GB pounds sterling cost of Hostie Hats products and services.
To check your balance please contact us.
No change will be given but any unused balance will remain on the Gift card and may be applied to future purchases.
Gift Cards can be used towards the purchase of goods at a higher price than its face value upon payment of the difference.
The Gift Card cannot be exchanged or redeemed in whole or part for cash.
Gift cards have an expiry date of 18 months following issue.
Gift cards can only be purchased and redeemed in GBP £.
No service fees are charged in administering or redeeming the voucher or gift card.
Offer codes/ discount codes cannot be redeemed when purchasing gift cards.
Promotional offers may not apply to Gift Card purchases.
No VAT is charged when buying the Gift card, but purchases paid for using the Gift Card are subject to VAT.
We will not accept any liability for any remaining balance on the Gift Card.
If you have made an Online payment with a Gift Card in whole or part and any item paid for using the gift card is accepted for return the amount owing will be added to the original Gift Card.
We may withdraw or cancel the Gift Card and require an alternative form of payment if we suspect that the Gift Card may have been stolen or fraudulently used. Further action may also be taken.
We reserve the right to amend or supplement these conditions or discontinue the Gift Card at any time.
